How to Check the Minutes on a Verizon Phone

The Verizon Wireless website contains many details and options for your account. You can view and pay your bill, download media for your phone, make changes to your account and view your usage. Keeping up with the usage on your account is important if you are making/receiving many calls and sending/receiving many text messages. You want to ensure that you do not go over your plan's allowed minutes so that you do not get extra charges on your next bill.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser.

2. Go to the Verizon website.

3. Log in to your Verizon account. Enter your phone number and password in the text boxes on the front page. If you do not have an account, click the register button under the password box. The registration form will ask you for some personal information and some cell phone information.

4. Click "Check Account Detail" on the left side of the screen under the "Minutes" tab. When you log in to the account, the "Minutes" tab will already be open.

5. View your current usage. On the "My Current Usage" page you are brought to, you can view your monthly minutes allowed and the number and breakdown of the minutes you have used.

Tips & Warnings

• An alternative way to check your minutes used without the extra detail is to dial #MIN (#646) on your cell phone.
