How to Remove Items Searched for from an AOL Toolbar
The AOL toolbar is a search bar that enables you to search content such as images, videos and music, as well as do your shopping on the Internet. By default, the AOL toolbar keeps a record of your searches so that you can access the same content again with one click. However, if you want to protect your privacy and remove your search trails, you can clear the AOL search history quickly and easily.

Launch your web browser and locate the AOL toolbar located on the top. Click the "Search" menu on the tool. Click "Clear your search history" to remove your AOL search history.

Disable the search history component if you do not want the browser to keep a record of your searches. To do so, click the down arrow on the AOL toolbar and click "Settings."

Click the "Search" tab and uncheck the "Enable search history" option. Click "Save." The AOL toolbar no longer keeps a record of your searches.
