Instructions

    • 1

Put on your gloves, then remove the insert portion of your cupboard fronts.

    • 2

Lay the copper sheeting on a flat surface and cut to size to fit the insert section of your cupboards, leaving a little overlap on all of the edges. Cut enough sheeting to cover all the surfaces you have chosen. The nicer side of the copper should face down.

    • 3

Lay the piece of vinyl over the copper sheeting and roll the laminate roller over the vinyl and sheeting to remove wrinkles from the copper.

    • 4

Lay the copper sheeting on a flat surface with the wrong side facing up. Apply a thin coat of contact cement to the wrong side of the copper using the sponge roller.

    • 5

Apply a thin coat of contact cement to the front portion of the cabinet insert. Allow to sit for a few minutes so it becomes tacky. Carefully press the cabinet insert onto the surface of the copper sheeting and press down gently ensuring that it has adhered properly. Let dry completely.

    • 6

Once dry, trim or fold over the copper sheet edges. Re-attach the cupboard insert into the cupboard frame.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wear gloves to protect your hands when cutting the copper sheeting. Work in a well-ventilated area.
