How to Access a Vista FTP Management Console
Vista offers new website management tools under the Internet Information Services feature. An FTP management console is available in Windows Vista. The feature allows a computer to act as a web and FTP client. FTP stands for file transfer protocol. Transfer, upload and management of website files are done through an FTP client. Internet Information Services is disabled by default. Internet Information Services has to be enabled through the computer's control panel to activate the FTP management console.
