How to Adjust the Internet Speed on Microsoft XP

Microsoft Window XP allows you to easily increase or decrease the Internet speed. You can adjust this from the broadband/dial-up modems properties settings. It is best to leave these setting at their default that set at maximum speed. Decreasing the Internet speed will slow down the loading of web pages, and file downloads will take considerably longer.
