2. Decide what kind of widget you want to create. Widgetbox.com has a large selection of pre-made and customizable widgets. Wingadget.com allows you to create a custom widget of your chosen content. WebSnips.com allows you to create a widget from any website.

3. Browse by tag at Widgetbox to find the type of widget you need quickly, or make a widget from your own content from your blog RSS feed, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter or Vimeo. Make a widget with a poll, form, countdown or slideshow.

4. Create a widget with WidGadget for your website or desktop by left-clicking the "Get Started" button and choosing the type of widget you want to create.

5. Type or copy and paste the URL to any website in WebSnips.com to create a widget.
