How to Restore a Microsoft Access Database
Access databases can contain an abundance of important data that, if lost, can be difficult to replace. If you've recently lost your primary copy of your Access database due to damage, you may be looking to restore the database. Luckily, restoring an Access database is quite simple and only requires the use of a backup of the database, which you have already created within Microsoft Access.

1
Close Access if it is open by clicking the red "X" button.

2
Locate your database backup. This is saved in the folder you chose when you made a backup of the database. It is usually located in the same folder as your current database, but under a different name. If it's not in the same folder, copy the database by right-clicking the database and selecting "Copy."

Go to the folder where your damaged database is located. If your damaged database and backup are not in the same folder, right-click within the folder and select "Paste."
