How to Wrap a Square Hijab

A hijab is a headscarf that covers the head and neck worn by Muslim women. The word translates to curtain or cover, and its purpose is to exercise modesty and morality. There are many different hijab styles and shapes, one of which is the square hijab. Square hijabs can be made from scarfs or shawls and are wrapped around the head and secured for a polished look. Wrapping a square hijab is easy and only takes a few seconds. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Fold a square hijab scarf or shawl in half diagonally to form a huge triangle. The scarf or shawl should be 34 inches by 34 inches to ensure that the neck is entirely covered.

    • 2

Place the triangle over your head, letting one side fall longer than the other. Secure the shorter end underneath your chin using a hijab pin.

    • 3

Take the longer, free side of the triangle and wrap it over the secured area under the chin toward the opposite side. Bring it up to the side of your face, and secure with another hijab pin. Use your fingers to make any necessary adjustments to the hijab to ensure that the entire head and neck are covered.
