How to Repair Truck Dents
Finding a dent in your truck can be a frustrating experience for any truck owner. Body repairs are frequently very expensive when performed by body shops and there is no guarantee the truck will not be dented again in the future. Fixing dents yourself may not be as effective as having them professionally done, but the saved expense can make the process well worth it. Fixing truck dents can be a relatively easy process.

Cover the dented area with aluminum foil to act as a protectant.

Flick the flame of a lighter over the aluminum foil for approximately 30 seconds to heat up the metal in the dent underneath it. Never apply a flame directly to your actual paint job.

Remove the foil. Spray the heated truck metal with compressed air. The air will be very cold and the heated metal suddenly contracting from the cold air should force the dent to pop out.

Tips & Warnings
Some dents in the truck bed or wheel well can be fixed by hammering the opposite side of the dent with a rubber mallet to pop it back out.
The heating/cooling method works best on smaller dents. The idea is the same on larger or deeper dents, but the dent will likely still be noticeable after repair.
Be careful when using the lighter--the aluminum foil will get very hot.
