Turn your hair dryer on low and begin blowing air over the spot. This method works when the white spots are fairly new. Do not use the high heat setting or you take a chance of damaging the wood.

Spread some petroleum jelly over the white spots. Let it remain on the stain for 12 hours.

Wash the petroleum jelly off of the table top with a sponge dipped in dish soap and water. Then immediately dry the table top with a towel.

Mix some salt and olive oil together to form a paste. Rub this paste over the white spots and set a timer for one hour. After the hour is up, wash the paste off of the table with a sponge wet with a little dish soap and water. Dry the area with a towel.
