How to Find Wii Points
Nintendo Wii points are used to purchase items through the Wii Shop Channel. This includes virtual console games, Wii Ware, and game add-ons. Wii points can be redeemed from Wii points cards or purchased directly from Nintendo. Both methods will add points to your Wii's balance.

Redeeming Points from a Wii Points Card

Obtain a Wii points card from any game retailer that sells Nintendo Wii accessories.

Click on "Wii Shop Channel" in the main menu of the Wii. This is the icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Click "Add Wii Points" from the shop channel menu.

Click the "Redeem a Wii Points Card" button from the Wii points menu.

Enter the code on the back of the Wii points card into the prompt. The Wii points will be added to your console.
Purchasing Wii Points

Click on "Wii Shop Channel" in the main menu that appears when the Wii is turned on. This is the icon in the top right hand corner.

Click "Add Wii Points" from the shop channel menu.

Click the "Buy Wii Points with a Credit Card" button from the Wii points menu.

Enter your credit card information into the prompt.

Select the quantity of Wii points you want to purchase. Your credit card will be billed and the points added to your account.

Tips & Warnings
There is no economic difference to the method you use to gain Wii points. The price of a points card or getting the points directly from Nintendo is about the same.
Wii points cards can only be redeemed once. Do not purchase a Wii points card if the packaging has been damaged enough to expose the code on the back of the card. Someone may have copied that code and used it.
