How to Delete the Backup History of Quicken

Quicken is a financial software package used by both small business and individuals. Created by Intuit, Quicken is the baby sister to QuickBooks and creates reports that can help users better manage their finances. One of Quicken's features is the backup history feature, which automatically back ups data every seven days. Deleting the backups is a straightforward process.

Instructions

    • 1

      Select the File Menu.

    • 2

Choose "File Operations," then "Delete." Quicken will show the folder with the current data file. This is the Quicken folder by default.

    • 3

Select the file you wish to delete. You can enter the name of the file in the field. Click "OK."

    • 4

Confirm your decision to delete the selected file.

    • 5

Use this command on your backup folder as well to permanently delete all files. The process is the same; however, the file folder is the Backup folder.
