How to Make a Stretch Cuff Charm Bracelet
A stretch cuff bracelet is one that doesn't require a clasp to put it on the wrist or take it off. There is enough stretch in the bracelet so it can be slid over the hand. Once it's on it will contract to the size of your wrist. One of the most popular cuff charm bracelets you can make is an Italian charm bracelet. You have thousands of different charm designs to choose from and it's easy to connect them to one another.

Select the individual charms for the bracelet, one of which must be a special link called the starter link. Charms come in small, medium and large formats. The medium size charms are the most popular. For a small wrist, you will need 17 for a bracelet that will measure 6 1/2 inches around. For a medium-size wrist, you will need 18 charms for a bracelet that measures 7 inches around. Finally for a large-size wrist you will need 19 individual charms for a bracelet that measures 7 1/4 inches around.

Pick up the starter link, which has a locking mechanism built into the slot end of the charm that the other regular links do not have. Hook a regular charm into the slot of the starter link. Slide the lock on the starter link to lock in the first charm. Each individual charm has one slotted end and one hook end.

Continue systematically hooking one charm link into the slot of the next. When the last one is hooked in place, create the closed bracelet by hooking both ends together.

Tips & Warnings
If you find you have difficulty getting the hook of each link into the slot of the next link consider purchasing a charm tool, which helps push the spring-loaded hook farther out of each charm.
