How to Make a Blue Devil Cocktail

A blue devil cocktail is a classic drink that is quite dry and strong in its flavor.   • Cocktail shaker
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 oz. dry gin
  • ½ oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz. maraschino liqueur
  • Chilled cocktail glass
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish

      Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with crushed ice.

      Add the dry gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, freshly squeezed lime juice and maraschino liqueur. Cover the cocktail shaker and shake gently for 20 to 30 seconds. Do not shake too vigorously; you don't want to bruise the alcohol.

      Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish the glass with a maraschino cherry and serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a slightly sweeter cocktail, replace the freshly squeezed lime juice with Rose's sweetened lime juice.

  • For a different look, garnish the cocktail glass with a fresh lemon or lime wedge. You can use both the cherry and fresh citrus fruit if you wish.
