How to Create a Video Logo
Creating a website for your business is an important part of the marketing process these days. Even if you don't sell your product or service directly from the site, it still serves as an online advertisement and a contact point. As you build your site you will want it to be visually appealing, and even exciting. One way to achieve this is to create a banner with a video logo. This animated logo will serve as a slideshow, showing different aspects of your business or products. You might have believed that to get a banner containing this kind of video log you would need to have help of a professional web page designer or graphic artist. But if you have access to a version of Photoshop CS3 or later you can create this for yourself. If you don't have Photoshop, you can achieve the same result using GIMP (which is freeware) but the steps will be different.

1
Load the images you want to use in your video logo onto your computer. These images can be individual pictures such as photos, or you can load a digital video from your camcorder or other source. Save the files you want to work with to a single otherwise empty folder.

2
Open Photoshop. Select "File." You have two options at this point. If you are importing individual images, select "Open," go to the folder you saved them to, hold down the "CTRL" key and select the images you want to import. The images will be placed in the "Layers" panel, where you can move them up or down to get the order you want in the animation. If you are importing a video for your video logo select "Video as Frames." A new dialog will appear where you can use the "Shift" key and the slider in the dialog timeline to select the frames you want to use. You can adjust the "frame rate" with the selected frames to reduce the size and complexity of the file. These frames will appear in the layers panel.
