How to Launch an Online Contest Promotion

An online contest is a great way to bring attention to your website, business, or brand. However, before you can bask in all of the attention resulting from your contest, you must get the word out about the contest. Launching a web promotion will do just the trick.

Instructions

1. Make sure the contest is well publicized on your own website. Mention it in every blog posting and place banners publicizing your contest on every page.

2. Email your top tier of supporters, or those subscribed to your newsletter. Make them the "first to know" about the contest launch.

3. Post word about your contest on all of your social media outlets. Let the people that already follow your comings and goings know and they will do some of the legwork for you, enthusiastically and sincerely telling others about the contest. Update frequently to remind people about the exciting contest you have going on and continue to entice them with the great prize(s) at stake.

4. Contact popular bloggers and ask them to blog about your contest. This should be done at least two weeks in advance of the contest.
