Instructions

    • 1

Drill a hole in each end of the landscaping timbers and one in the center. Drill a hole every 3 to 4 feet along the timbers if you are creating a border or edging for your lawn.

    • 2

Use a drill bit that is narrower than the rebar stakes you will be using to attach the landscape timbers. A 3/8 inch bit will work in most cases. Alter the dimensions to fit your needs.

    • 3

Place a rebar stake in one hole once all holes have been drilled. Begin at one end of the landscaping timbers and hammer in one stake at a time as you go.

    • 4

Push the rebar stake as far into the hole as you can while keeping it vertical.

    • 5

Use the sledgehammer to pound the rebar stake through both landscaping timbers and into the ground for added hold.

    • 6

Check each stake to be sure that the end is flush with the wood or even slightly below it for safety.
