Scan the negative using a home negative scanner or by a commercial negative scanning company. Many home scanners come with a negative carrier used for scanning negatives. Once the image is scanned, it can be resized and edited using any picture editing software.

Save the digital image file made from your negative to your computer. Make sure it is in an easily accessible place and named a relevant name; this will make it easier to find when using the photo sharing site's Browse feature.

Open your internet browser and navigate to a photo sharing site. Photobucket, Flickr, Snapfish, and Tinypic are all examples of photo sharing websites designed to help you host and organize your images.

Create an account or log in to your account, if you have already created one. Be sure to carefully read the terms and conditions of any site you join, as you may be required to verify that you are the copyright holder or waive rights to your images by uploading them.

Click on the upload option on the website. This will open a "Browse" menu. You will need to navigate through this menu and click on the saved image file you created. Select your file, then click "OK." This will upload your photo to the photo sharing site.
