How to Find Out if a Rewritable CD Is Closed
CD-RW media possesses the ability to be closed (or finalized), or left open to allow for more data to be written to the disc at a later time. However, without a software package that can check the status of the disc, there is no way to check whether or not a disc was previously closed. Luckily, this process can be performed using Ahead Nero's disc information utility. One can easily ascertain the status of any optical disc with this utility.
