How to Make a Yogurt and Cream Face Mask

A yogurt and cream face mask is a simple, easy to prepare home remedy to help nourish the skin and provide much needed essential moisture. The yogurt and cream face mask is best used by those with dry skin, or during the winter time when cold weather reduces moisture, as the yogurt and heavy cream may produce excess oil in the skin for those with already oily skin.   • 2 tsp. cultured yogurt
  • 2 tsp. aloe vera gel
  • 2 tsp. heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. raw honey
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • 4 tbsp. kaolin clay
  • 6 drops essential rose oil

Instructions

      Combine the cultured yogurt, aloe vera gel, heavy cream and raw honey in a medium size mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly with a large wooden spoon.

      Sprinkle the kaolin clay into the mixing bowl while stirring constantly with the wooden spoon.

      Add the essential rose oil to the mixture and stir to combine.

      Transfer the yogurt and cream face mask to a small, wide-mouthed glass jar and keep it in the refrigerator for 24 hours before first use.

Tips & Warnings

  • Spread the face mask over the skin in a thick layer while standing in the bathtub, shower or over an old towel. Leave the face mask on the skin for 10 to 12 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
