      Don't you just hate that awful moment when some one... especially a stranger... points out that your zipper is down! UGH! Well I have the jeans saving tip you need to keep that fly zipped up!

      The first thing you will need is a small rubber band. Preferable the ones that little girls use in their hair. Usually called the no pull rubber bands. You can get them at walmart in a variety of colors. You will want to look for the ones the size of a dime.

      This rubber band is a bit stretched out

      Next you will want to loop the rubber band threw the small hole in the zipper and then slip the other end of the rubber band back threw its self to hold it on. As you see in the photo I used a yellow one for photo purposes, you may want to use one that matches your jeans but the color will not show anyway.

      Next when you put the jeans on, you will simply zip them up and loop the rubber band over the button BEFORE buttoning them up. Its that easy! This tip is a simple fix to save your favorite jeans with a broken zipper from going to the trash!

Tips & Warnings

  • I have washed and warn that pair of jeans several times and the rubber band is still good!

  • You may want to keep a couple of extra rubber bands handy as you will want one if your band snaps an leaves you in the cold!

  • Make sure you always wear underwear when wearing jeans with a broken zipper :) Just in case!
