How to Cure a Nosebleed With Home Remedies

A nosebleed may be caused by many things such as being hit in the nose, the air being too dry, or picking at it. Some people are simply prone to more nosebleeds than others. If you get a nosebleed there are remedies you can do to cure it quickly. The most important thing to remember is never to tilt your head back. This is a myth that was once popular to stop nosebleeds however, it is possible to choke on your blood if this is done.

      Apply pressure to the bone on your nose between your two eyes. By applying pressure to this spot your nosebleed should stop rather quickly. Be sure not to squeeze too hard. The pressure that you apply should not be painful.

      Apply lemon juice on some toilet paper and place the tip inside of your nostril. The lemon juice may burn but the citric acid that comes from the lemon juice will immediately cure a nosebleed.

      Rub warm salt water into your nose until the bleeding stops. The warm mixture will help stop the bleeding and provide you with comfort.

      Apply a cold rag on your nose to help cure your nosebleed. Sometimes your nose may just be dry and that could trigger a nosebleed. Applying some moisture to your nose will cure a nosebleed and help prevent another one from starting.
