How To Make A Lychee Nut Martini

A Lychee nut martini is a classic, Asian-inspired cocktail that would work well before or alongside a Thai-fusion meal. The flavors of lychee nut liqueur and nectar are clean, smooth and naturally sweet, making it a good mixer for vodka, a spirit known to bolster the flavors of whatever is added to it. This recipe makes two lychee nut martinis, but you can multiply the recipe if you are having a dinner or cocktail party and need more drinks.

Things You'll Need

• Cocktail shaker
• Crushed ice
• 3 oz. orange-flavored vodka
• 1 oz. lychee nut liqueur
• 3 oz. lychee nut nectar
• 2 chilled martini glasses
• 3 oz. club soda
• Orange slices

Instructions

1. Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with crushed ice.

2. Add the orange-flavored vodka, lychee nut liqueur and lychee nut nectar. Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.

3. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into two chilled martini glasses.

4. Divide the club soda evenly between the two drinks. Garnish each glass with an orange slice and serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

• For a fruity cocktail, add one-half ounce of freshly squeezed orange juice to the mixture. For a bit of tropical flavor, add one ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice.
