- PVC pipe cutter
- 6 3/4-inch PVC T-connectors
- PVC primer
- PVC cement
- 4 3/4-inch PVC three-way connectors
Instructions

1
Cut four 5-foot-long sections of PVC pipe. Cut four 3-foot-long sections of PVC pipe. Cut four 2-1/2-foot sections of PVC pipe. Cut five 1-foot long sections of PVC pipe.
-
2
In the straight ends of a PVC T-connector, join a 5-foot-long PVC section to a 3-foot-long PVC section to create an 8-foot-long section. Spread PVC primer onto the outside rim of the pipe and the inside rim of the T connector. Wait 10 seconds before applying an even coat of PVC cement to the same areas. Insert the PVC pipe into the T connector and hold it about 15 seconds for the cement to set up. Repeat this step three more times to make the four vertical side rails of the garden arbor.

3
Place two of the newly created 8-foot-long PVC sections side by side, arranging them so that the open ends of the T connectors are facing each other. Join these two 8-foot sections by gluing a 1-foot PVC section into each open end of the T connectors. Remember to prime the pipe and connectors before you add the cement.
-
4
Repeat Step 3 with the two remaining 8-foot long side rails.
-
5
Attach a PVC three-way connector to the 3-foot ends of each 8-foot side rail. Situate the three-way connectors on each side rail so that one of the two remaining open ends of each connector faces its opposite on the other side rail so you can connect a cross piece between the two rails. Position the third open end of the connector so you can attach a PVC section that will join the two side rails.
-
6
Attach a 1-foot section of PVC to the open ends of the three-way connectors that are facing each other. Do this on both side rails.
-
7
Attach a 2-1/2-foot section to the remaining open end of each 3-way connector on the side rails. When connected, these sections will form the top of the arbor. Join each 2-1/2-foot section in the center of the arbor with the straight ends of a T-connector. Position the remaining open ends of the T-connector toward the inside of the arbor. Attach a 1-foot long section of PVC pipe to the open ends of the T-connectors to brace the center of the 5-foot long horizontal sections of the garden arbor.
