How to Prepare Hair for Braid Extensions
Proper preparation of hair for braid extensions is essential if you want great-looking, long-lasting braids. Braid extensions must be applied to clean hair to ensure that they adhere properly. Hair that is damaged, or has recently undergone chemical treatments, may not be strong enough to support the weight of the extensions. Braid extensions are expensive, painful and potentially damaging to your hair. Proper preparation of your hair prior to application of the extensions will minimize damage and maximize the longevity and overall appearance of the extensions. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Wear clothing that will allow your hair to fall straight down your back (e.g. a T-shirt, tank top or thin sweater). Avoid bulky clothing, turtlenecks and hooded sweatshirts, as these will make it difficult for the braid extensions to be applied in a straight and consistent manner.
