How to Install Cable Chains
Winter weather often brings the need for tire chains. In some cases authorities require the use of chains. Tire chains improve traction on slick, snow-covered streets and highways. Two materials are used in the manufacture of tire chains - steel links and steel aircraft cable. Cables have a lower profile, fit more tire applications, are easier to install and store and typically offer a smoother ride.
