How to Tie a Moby Style Wrap
Mothers and babies who enjoy a close and snuggly relationship often search for a baby carrier or baby wrap that will enable them to stay close throughout the day as they go about their activities. When you carry a baby in a wrap, the baby receives all of the close contact she desires, and you can have your hands free to get things done. A Moby Wrap is one style of wrap that holds your baby onto your body in comfort and security. Once you see how easy it is to tie a Moby style wrap and carry your baby in a Moby, it may become your preferred carrier.

1
Hold the Moby Wrap in a long tube with the tag of the Moby at waist level at the center of your body (facing out).
-
2
Pull both ends of the Moby Wrap around yourself to your back.
-
-
3
Cross one end across your back and over your shoulder (bringing it back around to your front). Cross the other end similarly across your back and over your other shoulder. Both ends should now be back to the front over your shoulders with the sling creating a large "X" across your back.
-
4
Insert the ends of the Moby Wrap under the horizontal fabric that lies across your midsection. Pull the horizontal fabric up slightly to spread the fabric out.
-
5
Cross the two tails of the Moby Wrap over each other to make another "X" across your chest.
-
6
Pull the tails across your body and back to your backside again. You can either tie the tails in a double knot at your back or cross them and pull them back around to your front and tie them there. Where you tie the Moby Wrap tails depends upon how much excess fabric you have to work with. Either location is satisfactory for tying.
-
7
Pull apart one of the fabric sections that comes down from one of your shoulders (either shoulder is fine). You should find a double layer of fabric that you can separate into a pouch.
-
8
Open this pouch, and insert the baby's backside into the pouch first. There must be a fabric layer between you and the baby creating a pouch to hold the baby. Spread the fabric over and around the baby to support the baby's upper body.
-
9
Tuck the baby's legs into the fabric that comes down from the opposite shoulder. Pull the fabric from this shoulder over and around the baby's lower body.
-
10
Pull the horizontal fabric from beneath the baby up and over the baby. You should find the tag on this horizontal strip of fabric, and this will indicate that you have situated the fabric properly. Pull the fabric with the tag up and over the baby's body, and situate the baby comfortably inside the wrap.
