How to Brush With Emu Oil
Emu oil is made from the fat of an ostrich-like bird native to Australia. The country's Aborigines have used emu oil for thousands of years. According to Uniquely Emu, emu oil promotes healthy hair growth, stimulates follicles internally and protects the scalp externally. In it's pure form, emu oil penetrates skin and delivers essential Omega fatty acids. It's anti-inflammatory properties prevent and cure scalp dermatitis and dandruff. Brushing emu oil into hair is effective because the oil mimics the skin's natural chemistry, facilitating absorption and nutrient intake. Does this Spark an idea?

Apply one drop of emu oil to one fingertip then moisten all fingertips with the single drop. Select a section of the scalp to begin massaging oil into. Move fingertips in small circular motions.

Repeat step 1 on a different section of the scalp. Use enough drops to massage the entire scalp. This should take approximately four or five drops, as each drop covers an area the size of one hand.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure hair is tangle-free before applying emu oil and brushing it through. Boar bristle brushes work poorly on tangled hair and may damage it.
Emu oil can be brushed into wet or dry hair.
Apply additional emu oil to damaged ends by rubbing a drop in between palms then onto tips for added moisture.
Cover hair with a towel or shower cap and use emu oil as a leave-in conditioner or overnight treatment for added moisture and scalp treatment.
Begin with a single drop of emu oil at a time so you don't over-saturate the hair and cause it to look greasy.
Emu oil doesn't need to be rubbed into the scalp as it penetrates well on its own. The massage is sufficient for scalp absorption and follicle stimulation.
