How to Do Makeup for an Elvira Costume
Every Halloween, women search for the perfect costume. For many, perfection means finding the perfect blend of sexy and scary. Elvira, Mistress of the Night has been a popular choice for years because she strikes that chord between ghoul and goddess. Elvira's signature look involves overly made up eyes, dark cheeks, pale skin and blood-red lips. While this makeup application may seem intimidating, it is not difficult to apply with a little practice.

Tips & Warnings
Choose a red liner and lipstick with blue undertones. This provides the deep, blood red tone. Yellow-based reds often come across too bright for Elvira.
