Instructions

Place your fused item on your ironing board. Make sure your iron is warm and releasing steam. Do not directly place your iron on your fused adhesive. Direct the steam towards the fused area for approximately five to fifteen seconds.

    • 2

Remove the fused web gently while the fabric is warm. If the fusible is still adhered to your fabric, place your iron directly onto the area, but do not add pressure. Hold in place approximately five seconds and remove.

    • 3

Place a damp cloth or fabric scrap onto your fabric to remove any excess adhesive. Gently peel off the adhesive. You can opt to pour rubbing alcohol on a piece of fabric scrap and gently dab your fabric until the fusible is removed. It is important to test this process in an unexposed area to ensure that your fabric dye is not removed and to avoid fabric damage or discoloration.

Remove fusible web from the bottom of your iron by turning your iron off and allowing it to cool off completely. Add some lighter fluid or glue removal agent on a piece of fabric scrap. Rub the cloth onto the bottom of your iron gently. It is essential to wipe off any lighter fluid or removal agent residue prior to using your iron.

For a stainless steel soleplate, do not add lighter fluid or any type of glue removal agent. Use a razor blade and carefully scrape off the fusible. For any remaining glue, iron fabric scraps until remaining web slides off onto the fabric. It is important to not iron with web adhered to your iron's bottom plate. This can cause damage to your clothing or items.
