How to Reduce a High Fever
There are things you can do in order to bring down a high fever in order to feel better. However, the cause will need to be addressed if the fever is persistent.

You need to stay plenty hydrated when you are running up a high temperature. Water is excellent for the body's fluid balance, and will help you stay cooled down as well. Besides drinking water, it is best to stay on a liquid diet which contains broth, and jello. You can work back into solid food as you begin feeling better.

Taking a cool bath is helpful in lowering an high fever. Try soaking in the tub for at least 15 minutes at a time. After you get out of the tub each time, wear clothing that is light and doesn't trap heat inside the body.

Sleeping can help the immune system a great deal more than anything else. The more rest you are getting, the better able you will be to fight off the illness causing fever. While you are resting, place a cold washcloth on top of your head which also helps.

Fevers will disappear once the cause is taken care of. If you have a high fever for more than a couple days, see your doctor for treatment!
