How to Block Calls on My T-Mobile Cell Phone

A feature to block incoming calls is useful if you have someone who is calling you and you just don't want to talk to the person. Instead of having the call ring to your cell phone and having to hit ignore each time one of these calls comes through, you can have the call automatically sent to voicemail. Although some mobile service providers offer blocking features on incoming calls, T-Mobile isn't one of them. If you wish to block incoming calls on your T-Mobile phone, you have to use the feature in the phone's operating system.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the contact files on your T-Mobile phone. Highlight the contact file that you don't want to receive incoming calls from anymore.

    • 2

Press the menu key to open the pop-up menu and select "Edit contact."

    • 3

Put a check mark next to the box that sends incoming calls directly to voicemail. Click "Done."

Tips & Warnings

  • This will only block incoming calls from the phone number that you have selected. If the caller chooses to call you from another number, his incoming calls will come through.

  • This feature is limited to certain T-Mobile phone models, including the G1 and myTouch.
