      Shut down your Xbox 360.

      Locate the hard drive. It's on the thin side of the console near the disc tray. One side of the hard drive juts out of the Xbox 360; the other sits flush against the console's frame.

      Push down on the eject button, located on the flat side of the hard drive, and pull on the larger side to remove it.

      Line up the replacement hard drive against the open bay. The hard drive has a plug on the flat side. Line this up with the input in the bay.

      Push down on the larger side of the hard drive, then push on the flat side until it clicks into place.
