How to Put a Calendar As an Outlook Background
There are a variety of ways to add your own personal touch to Microsoft Outlook. From modifying the way information appears when you open Microsoft Outlook to changing the background on the emails you send to colleagues or friends, you can customize the program to fit your specific needs. One way to add a personal touch to Microsoft Outlook messages is to add a calendar as the Outlook background by utilizing the stationery option of the program.

Turn on your computer and launch the Microsoft Outlook program.

Find a calendar image you want to use as the background in Outlook. The Microsoft website provides a wide array of calendar clip art available for download. You can also create an image file out of your Outlook Calendar by opening your calendar in Microsoft Outlook. Press the print screen button on your computer keyboard and paste the image into your photo editing software. Edit the calendar image as desired and save the file as a .jpg file.

Pick "Tools" on the top navigation menu of Microsoft Outlook and select "Options" to open the "Options" window. Choose the "Mail Format" tab from the options shown. Make sure the message format reads HTML. In the "Stationery and Fonts" section, click on "Stationery Picker."

Click "New" in the Stationery Picker window. Enter the name for your new stationery and select the button in front of "Start with blank stationery." Click "Next."

Select the font you want to use when composing email messages. In the background section of the Edit Stationery window, click "Picture" and then click "Browse." Find the image of the calendar you want to use as the Outlook background and click "Select." The calendar image you selected will appear in the preview window. Click "OK" twice to return to the main Options window. The name of the stationery you selected will now appear in the Options window under the Stationery and Fonts section. Click "OK" to close the Options window and implement the changes.

Verify the stationery background by creating a new email message. Click "New Message" to compose a new email message. The Untitled Message window will appear with the calendar you selected as the Microsoft Outlook background.
