How to Create a Second Email Address in MSN
MSN Live Mail, also called Hotmail, is a free email service offered by Microsoft. With each email account you register on MSN Live Mail, you get 5 gigabytes of storage space, a calendar to manage your time, and many more features. You can create as many email addresses as you need on the MSN Live service. The process is simple, requiring only a few steps. Your new email account will be up and running within just a few minutes.

Navigate your web browser to the MSN homepage (msn.com). Locate the box on the left-hand side of the page labeled Hotmail. Click the "Sign Up" link at the base of the box. If you are currently logged in to an existing MSN account, you may need to log out to see this link.

Click the "Sign Up" button to create a Windows Live ID. This will launch the registration panel for you to specify your new email account information.

Enter your desired email user name in the box labeled "Windows Live ID" and select the domain you would like your email address to be on, either Live.com or Hotmail.com. Click the "Check Availability" button to be sure that your preferred user name is available. If not, repeat the process until you secure a user name which is available on their network.

Create your account password and enter it in the box provided. Choose a password that is at least six characters long; remember that it is case-sensitive. Enter your password a second time in the next box to confirm it.

Enter a different email address for MSN to contact you with your password in the event that you forget the password to your account. If you do not have a secondary email address, you can click the link to select a security question. You will need to enter the answer to your security question in the event that you forget your password.

Enter your personal information and the graphic confirmation code in the boxes provided. Click the "I Accept" button to create your new email account.
