But being out in wet weather will often leave your GORE-TEX fabric stained with dirt and grime, requiring cleaning to bring it back to the original look. Things You'll Need
- Stain remover
- Laundry detergent
- Washing machine
- Dryer
- Topical water repellent restorative
- Iron
- Towel

Spray any stains with a laundry stain remover. Thoroughly rinse off the stain remover.

Wash the GORE-TEX fabric in warm water, no hotter than 104 degrees Fahrenheit or 40 degrees Celsius, with laundry detergent.

Dry the GORE-TEX fabric in the dryer, on a tumble-dry warm setting.

Apply the topical water resistant restorative along the outside of the GORE-TEX fabric to restore its water resistance.

Iron the GORE-TEX fabric using steam. Place the towel between the GORE-TEX fabric and the iron to protect the fabric.
