How to Use Iron-On Patches on Jeans

Iron-on patches offer an easy and inexpensive way to repair holes in your jeans or just add a stylish appliqué. Patches come in many colors and designs and are easy to iron on. Afterwards, patched clothes can be machine washed, although washing them inside out may help your patches stay more firmly attached.

Things You'll Need

• Iron-on patch
• Iron
• Small cloth or towel

Instructions

1. Wash and iron the garment you wish to patch.

2. Turn your iron on "Cotton" or to its hottest setting.

3. Place the patch on the desired part of your jeans and cover the patch with a thin cloth or towel.

4. Iron the patch for 30 to 40 seconds, pressing down with as much pressure as possible.

5. Turn your jeans inside out and iron the back of the patch for 30 to 40 seconds.
