How to Sync Apps from a Computer to an iPod
The Apple iPod is a personal media player, capable of running multiple types of media, depending on the model, such as music, videos and applications. Applications, commonly referred to as apps, can be any numerous type of software, such as a video game or calendar organizer. Syncing apps from a computer with iTunes to an iPod requires just a few steps. Keep in mind that only the iPod Touch and iPhone have app capabilities so ensure you're using one of those devices before attempting to sync apps.

Plug your iPod Touch or iPhone into the computer that you'd like to sync apps from. Use the iPod USB cable that came with your device, connecting the USB input of the cable to the USB port on the computer and the power input of the cable into the power plug-in on your iPod Touch or iPhone.

Open iTunes or wait for it to automatically open once the connection is made.

Wait for your iPod's icon to appear in the source pane in the "Devices" section. This may take a few moments as your computer reads the data on your iPod. Click on your iPod's icon once it appears to open a summary of your device.

Place a check in the box next to "Manually manage music and videos." This allows you to select which types of media you'd like to sync to your iPod.

Click on the "Applications" tab. This allows you to view your applications and arrange them on your iPod's screen in your preferred order.

Place a check in the box next to "Sync applications" and drag the application's icon onto your iPod's screen.

Click on the "Apply" button in the lower right-hand corner when finished to begin the sync process.
