How to Delete an Add-on From Firefox

Mozilla Firefox is an Internet browser. One feature of Firefox is there are many add-ons you can install on Firefox to customize the browser. If you have downloaded and installed an add-on to Firefox but have decided you don't want it anymore, it is easy to delete it. It takes little time to locate and uninstall the add-on so that it won't appear on Firefox anymore.

Instructions

1. Open Firefox and click "Tools" from the toolbar at the top of the page. You can change the Internet options here, as well as remove an add-on.

2. Select "Add-ons" from the drop down menu. A new screen will open that displays all of the add-ons you have downloaded and installed on Firefox.

3. Scroll through the list of add-ons. When you find the add-on you want to delete, click the add-on title and select "Uninstall" from the options that appear.

4. Click "Uninstall" from the box that opens to verify that you want to uninstall the add-on.

5. Restart your Firefox browser to complete the uninstall. You can verify that the add-on was deleted by checking the Add-ons list.

Tips & Warnings

• If you don't want to use an add-on presently, but want to keep it for future use, select an add-on from the list and click "Disable."
