Instructions

    • 1

Remove the printer cable from the back of the printer and look at it carefully. Determine whether the bent pin is on the printer cable or on the printer itself.

    • 2

Turn the printer around so that the back of the printer is facing you. It is important to have a clear and unobstructed view of the connection on the back of the dot matrix printer.

    • 3

Kneel down so that you are directly facing the printer connection. Locate the bent pin and see how far it is bent. Insert a small flat head screwdriver next to the bent pin and gently push it back into place. If you are unable to get the screwdriver between the pins you may be able to use a pair of tweezers to grab the bent pin and push it back into place.

    • 4

Reconnect the printer cable and make sure it fits securely over the pins. If the cable does not seat correctly be sure to remove it and reset the pin.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not push to hard on the pins or you could damage them.
