How to Keep Birds from Nesting by Your House
Birds are fun to watch, but they're not so fun when they build a nest on or next to your house. This is an old trick to keep them from building a nest where you don't want them. It also scares them away when they already have a nest by or on your house. Does this Spark an idea?

Find a picture of a very mean-looking cat or owl on the Internet. Birds are terrified of cats and owls. You can easily find a great picture by doing a Google image search.

Print out the picture and post it close to the nest. If you can print it in color, do so, but black and white seems to work, as well.

Wait for the birds to notice the picture. They will likely stop coming back almost immediately after seeing the picture. They don't understand what a picture is, so they think it's the real thing.
