How to Plug an XBox Into a PC

      Turn off your Xbox 360 by holding down the guide button on your controller and confirming that you'd like to shut down the console when prompted.

      Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into your Xbox 360's Ethernet port, located on the back of the Xbox 360.

      Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your PC's Ethernet port.

      Turn on your Xbox 360 and wait for the console to recognize the local area network connection. On XP, Vista or Windows 7 there will be a notification displayed on the taskbar.

      Go to "My Xbox" from the dashboard on your Xbox 360 and select the type of media you'd like to stream from your PC, music or videos.
