Select "Start" on your "Home" screen and then choose "Settings." On the next window that appears, select the "Connections" tab and then tap "Network Cards," "WiFi," "Wireless Connections" or something similar, depending on the device you are using. A window will appear, showing you the wireless connections within range.

Select the desired wireless connection and then tap "Connect." Provide the "pass phrase" of the wireless connection and wait for the phone to connect to the network. A pass phrase protects a network from being invaded by unauthorized users. If you are connecting to a private network owned by a friend, or a hot spot in a restaurant or coffee shop, ask for the pass phrase that will allow you to connect to the network.

Choose a ringtone and tap the "Download" button. Wait for Windows Mobile to download the file and play it automatically through the "Windows Mobile Media Player."

    • 6

Navigate to the downloaded file. Since you downloaded a ringtone, go to your "Audio Files" and set the downloaded file as your default ringtone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some phones automatically turn on the "Wi-Fi capability," while some give users the option to turn it on or off. The steps to be followed may vary depending on the device you are using. Check your user manual for further instructions.

  • Obtain an extra memory card for your phone. In case your installed memory card becomes full from your downloads, you can remove it and install a new one.
