How to Play With Eight Players on a Wii

The Wii is Nintendo's 5th generation gaming console and it offers unique gameplay mechanics. The Wii is controlled not by a standard game controller, but by Wii remotes, that resemble remote controls. The Wii also offers motion control game play. Instead of pushing buttons, users must swing the Wii remote in order to make characters in a game move. The Wii can connect to up to 4 Wii remotes and 4 GameCube controllers and there are games that allow you to play with 8 players on the Wii.

• 8 player Wii game

Instructions

1. Purchase a Wii game that supports eight players. Such games include "Warioware," Disney's "Sing It: Pop Hits," and "Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party."

2. Turn on your Wii console.

3. Put the Wii game into your Wii gaming console.

4. Connect four Wii remotes to your Wii by pressing "Home" and syncing each Wii remote with the Wii. To sync each Wii remote, press "Disconnect" on the screen and press the "1" and "2" buttons of every Wii remote until they vibrate and show their number on the screen.

5. Connect four GameCube controllers to the Wii, if needed.

6. Select the eight player Wii game from the Wii menu. Press "Start."

7. Select the eight player option from the game's menu. Play the Wii game with eight players.

Tips & Warnings

• Some Wii games, such as "Warioware," allow users to share one Wii remote among all eight players.

• Some eight player Wii games only allow eight players in online mode. You must connect to the Internet with your Wii and select four other players in order to play with eight players in those games.
