How to Fix Ceramic Mugs
Perhaps you have a ceramic mug in which you enjoy your daily cup of coffee or tea. If your favorite mug falls to the floor and cracks, it can be quite distressing, especially if the mug was given to you as a gift from someone special. Spread out a thin layer of newspaper or paper. This is to keep the glue from getting all over the work surface. Strong glue can be difficult to remove.

Place the broken ceramic mug on the paper with all the pieces.

Spread a line of super glue over the broken surface. It's important to make it a thin line, as using too much glue will cause the excess to ooze out of the sides when you push the pieces together. If there are several pieces, wait an hour for the glue to set before moving on to the next piece.

Line up the pieces as precisely as you can and press together. Super glue bonds instantly and sets within a few seconds, so you won't have a chance to move things around very much.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 as many times as necessary until the mug is re-assembled.

Let the glue dry for a day before using the mug again.

Tips & Warnings
Be realistic. Sometimes a mug is just broken beyond repair. If it's in more than four or five pieces, chances are that saving it really isn't an option.
Watch out for any sharp edges. Broken ceramics often have very sharp edges that are capable of cutting a person.
