How to Fold Dollars Into the Superman Emblem
Paper-folding or "origami" provides entertainment from simple pieces of paper. If you are willing to memorize a few (or many) steps, you can create a work of art, or at least something that's fun to look at. An ordinary dollar bill can be turned into the iconic triangular Superman emblem if you fold it in a specific way. You might not have superpowers, but when everyone sees how you can transform a dollar bill into Superman's emblem, they just might think you're super too!

Place the bill flat on a table or work surface. Fold the right side of the dollar bill over onto the left side.

Fold the upper right corner of the dollar bill diagonally over to the bottom left corner.

Turn the dollar bill over so that the pointed edge is facing up and away from you.

Fold the small flap at the right side of the dollar bill over onto the edge that it overlaps.

Turn the dollar bill over so that the flat edge is facing away from you. Fold the small flap at the left side of the dollar bill over onto the edge that it overlaps. Pick up the dollar bill and hold it with the point facing down. Show everyone the Superman emblem that you have made from a dollar bill.

Practice making the Superman emblem so that you can perform the steps quickly and efficiently in front of others.
An old dollar bill will not retain the shape of the Superman emblem as well as a new one.
