How to Delete the Calendar Contents in Outlook

Although Microsoft Outlook is most commonly known for sending and receiving email, it is also used for scheduling important events. The calendar is a useful tool because it allows us to insert events according to the month, week, day, and time. During the time of an event, Outlook notifies the user with either an alarm or notification window. If there is a change in plans, however, it is possible to edit a schedule by deleting the calendar contents.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Outlook. Click "Go" and "Calendar," or click the calendar icon on the bottom left corner of the program.

    • 2

Search for the event. Select "Month" and click the arrow icon of the large calendar. The day of the event will be highlighted in yellow. Click the specific date and select "Day" on the calendar menu.

    • 3

Remove the event. Right click the according time of the event and select "Delete." You may also click "Edit" and then "Delete."

Tips & Warnings

  • Type the name of the event into the calendar search bar if you are having trouble locating it.
