How to Change Your Twitter Profile Picture

Twitter is a social website that people from around the world can use to keep in contact with friends, family members and even celebrities. Twitter uses tweets, or statuses, to inform people who are following your Twitter account (such as friends, family members and coworkers) of what you are doing. Twitter also allows its users to upload a profile picture so that you can make your page personal and be more searchable for your friends and family.

Instructions

1. Log in to Twitter.

2. Click on "Settings" and then click on "Picture."

3. Click on "Browse," select your photo and then click on "Save."

Tips & Warnings

• Your photo should reflect you and should be used so that people on Twitter can recognize or find you.

• A Twitter picture is optional. You do not have to have a profile picture on Twitter if you do not want to use one.

• The picture that you select must be smaller than 700k, and only JPG, GIF and PNG files are accepted.

• If you do not have a Twitter account, simply visit the website and click on "Sign Up." You must have a valid email address to sign up for a Twitter account.
