How to Clear Predictions in a PS3 Browser

The PlayStation 3 is Sony's third installment of its popular console, which offers high-definition gaming, a BluRay player and Internet connectivity. The PS3 has its own web browser, which allows users to enter addresses and surf the web just as if they were on their computer. The PS3 also logs all of your Internet activity, such as keyword seaches, and saves it to the hard drive. This feature can be useful, because the PS3 can predict what you're typing as you enter an address or search, saving you some time. However, you may want to clear your predictive text history for privacy reasons.

Instructions

1. Turn on your PS3 and access the XMB by pressing the PlayStation button on your controller. The XMB is the PS3's main menu, which can be accessed at any time.

2. Scroll to "System Settings" using the left thumb stick. Open it.

3. Select the option "Delete predictive text dictionary" by pressing the "X" button.

4. Confirm the deletion on the resulting dialogue window to complete the removal process.
