1
Open a portrait-style page in any graphic design software. Set the page size to 8.5 inches by 11 inches.
-
2
Use the line tool to draw a line from the top to the bottom of the page. Position the line 1 3/4 inches in from the left side. Repeat this process on the right side of the page. Consider using a light color to draw the line so it does not show through after printing.
-
-
3
Position a new line from left to right across the page that measures 4 3/4 inches above the bottom. Make one additional line across the top of the page measuring 1 5/8 inches below the top of the page.
-
4
Add a photograph, clip art or text information in the center of the lines. You could also use the shape tools available in your software to create your own design.
-
5
Place a sheet of paper in to the printer and print your design, including the lines. Follow your printer's manual instructions for printing graphic designs and photographs.
-
6
Place your printed sheet on a hard surface. Fold the left and right sides inward and crease along the lines. Repeat with the bottom and top folds. Fold each corner of the top inward towards the back of the sleeve.
-
7
Slide any CD in to the front folds of the envelope and then slip the top flap down into the folds on the back of the sleeve to close.
